HAT Projects are award-winning architects with a reputation for fresh and imaginative design thinking coupled with rigorous attention to detail, sensitivity to context and excellent project management. We focus on public projects - cultural, community, housing and education - which help to create and celebrate our civic infrastructure.
Our collaborative, research-driven and holistic design approach creates distinctive buildings grounded in a thorough understanding of functionality and lifecycle. This is enriched by our work as design advisers, community enablers, and self-builders.
Founded in 2007 by Tom Grieve and Hana Loftus, we were shortlisted for Young Architect of the Year in 2013 and named RIBA East Emerging Architect of the Year in 2014. We have a strong commitment to involvement in our community and our team serve in a number of voluntary roles as well as on national cultural and design panels.
